We’re open all day with an ever changing, seasonal, locally focused menu to cater for long, indulgent, multi-course feasts or the simplest of snacks – all available in our restaurant, bar or terrace.
Breakfast is served from 7.30 – 11am Monday to Saturday, and 7.30 – 10.30am on Sundays.
A full menu is available from 12-9.00pm every day except Monday when the kitchen is briefly closed between 3pm and 6pm.
Food and drink in the bar
Tuck into the full menu or just enjoy a snack, we’re very easy about where and when you eat. Dogs are welcome to join you in the bar. There’s lots of space and a wood burner in the humongous and ancient fireplace that keeps us cosy on cooler days.
Fabulous local food and drink is central to we do. We’ve got a great range of local craft beers, West Country ciders and regularly changing local ales. We do a fabulous cocktail, there’s a wide and intriguing list of spirits (including a staggering array of gins, again many local), delicious soft drinks and a mighty fine and characterful wine list.
Hot Food, Snacks and Small Plates are available all day.
We’re very lucky in the kitchen to have the dream team combo of executive chef Tom Blake and head chef Rob Russell-Cooke. They create outstanding food. Always inventive, consistently delicious. Think modern British foundation enlivened by European, North African and Middle Eastern panache. Local mile-friendly and fuss free food with a twist. Nibble on White Lake pecorino & spring pea arancini or tuck into a chargrilled burger from local supplier Jim Baker in Wedmore.
Children are very welcome. We have a kid’s menu for them to choose from or they can choose smaller versions of dishes on the main menu.
Dogs are welcome in the bar and in all of our rooms where we provide a surprise Goody Pack.
