Quirky decorative finds, vintage treasures and traditional features mix with contemporary aesthetics to create 17 individually-styled rooms.
Timbrell’s Yard is a stylish riverside inn. It can be found right in the heart of Bradford-on Avon.
It’s a stunning, listed property, we lovingly transformed into a thriving a restaurant and bar with wonderful bedrooms.
Restaurants in Bradford on Avon are popular and Timbrell’s Yard especially so. Ours is overseen by exec chef, Tom Blake, formerly head chef at River Cottage. He celebrates the seasons and is obsessive about ingredients. Yes, the food is local and authentic but above all it tastes fantastic.
Hotels in Bradford on Avon are few and far between so when we opened the doors to our 17 bedrooms we were instantly embraced by locals and visitors alike. We’ve worked hard to combine the building’s lovely traditional features with a contemporary design. We haven’t forgotten the building’s industrial past and there’s painted metal supports and beams in the bar and the restaurant is modern and airy. We’ve added lots of quirky detail and touches that make the place really stand out with beautiful tiles on the stairways, thick braided jute handrails and richly detailed woven fabrics.

Bar? Pub? We’re both. White tiles, sleek, stylish and contemporary surrounds, must be a bar, surely. But we’re a proper pub too with the heart of a ‘local’, stocking regional craft beers and West Country ciders. Our wine list is carefully chosen, always interesting, much of it available by the glass. And the staff know their stuff: they’ll shake you up a Pisco Sour, point you to the best farmgate cider, pull you a pint of Wild Beer and supply snacks to match or else they might offer you their malt of the month. Alternatively, you could just have a Mozzo coffee and the day’s newspapers. There’s lots of seating, a wood burner in the huge fireplace and if the sun shines there’s plenty of space in the courtyard. Bring the kids. Bring the dog. All are welcome. The Bar
